Oil Level Sensor: Description and Operation

The PCM monitors the engine oil level switch (1) signal at start-up to determine if the engine oil is OK. It the PCM determines that a low oil level condition exists, the PCM will communicate the information over the Class 2 circuit to the IP Cluster and it will illuminate the indicator lamp.
