Oil Pressure Sensor: Description and Operation

The PCM monitors the engine oil pressure switch (1) signal to determine it the engine oil pressure is OK. If the PCM determines that a low oil pressure condition exists, the PCM will communicate the information over the Class II circuit to the IP Cluster and it will illuminate the indicator lamp.
