Parking Brake Warning Switch: Service and Repair

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the center console. Refer to Console Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the switch (2).





3. Remove the mounting screw (1).
4. Remove the parking brake indicator switch (2).

Installation Procedure





1. Install the parking brake indicator switch (2).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the mounting screw.
^ Tighten the mounting screw to 3 Nm (26 inch lbs.).





3. Connect the electrical connector (2) to the switch.
4. Check the operation of the switch.
5. Install the center console. Refer to Console Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators.
