Theft Deterrent Module Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Disable the SIR.
2. Remove the trim covers.
3. Remove the lock cylinder.
4. Remove the theft deterrent module wiring harness from the steering column harness.
5. Disconnect the electrical connector.






6. Pull the theft deterrent module (2) away from the lock cylinder housing (1).

Installation Procedure






1. Push the theft deterrent module (2), onto the lock cylinder housing (1).
2. Install the theft deterrent wiring harness to the steering column harness.
3. Connect the electrical connector.
4. Install the lock cylinder.
5. Replace the steering column trim covers.
6. Enable the SIR system.
7. Program the new theft control module.
