Tail Pipe Replacment
Removal Procedure1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
Notice: Refer to Catalytic Converter Movement Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Suitably support the exhaust system.
3. Remove the exhaust tail pipe.
Installation Procedure
1. Install and adjust the exhaust tail pipe before tightening the tail pipe clamp. Steps 2, 3, and 4 provide alignment guidelines.
2. The rotational angle of the exhaust tail pipe in relation to horizontal can be no more than +/- 2°.
Right-hand exhaust tail pipe shown. Left-hand opposite.
3. The maximum allowable difference between the right-hand and the left-hand exhaust tail pipes is 3.0 mm (0.11 inch)

4. Right-hand exhaust tail pipe shown. Left-hand opposite.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
5. Tighten the tail pipe clamp.
^ Tighten the tail pipe clamp to 35 Nm (26 ft. lbs.).
6. Remove the support from the exhaust system.
7. Inspect the exhaust system for leaks and underbody contact.
8. Lower the vehicle.
