Side Rail Lamp Replacement (Sedan)

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

IMPORTANT: Note the position of the side rail lamp lens for installation.




1. Remove the side rail lamp lens from the assist handle using a small flat-bladed tool.




2. Remove the screws from the side rail lamp housing.




3. Remove the screws from the assist handle.




4. Remove the side rail lamp/assist handle from the roof.




5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the side rail lamp on the assist handle.




6. Release the socket from the side rail lamp housing.




7. Remove the socket from the side rail lamp housing.




8. Remove the bulb from the socket.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the bulb to the side rail lamp socket.




2. Install the socket to the side rail lamp housing.




3. Connect the electrical connector to the side rail lamp.




4. Install the side rail lamp/assist handle to the root.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.




5. Install the screws to the assist handle.

Tighten
Tighten the assist handle screws to 3 N.m (27 lb in).




6. Install the screws to the side rail lamp housing.

Tighten
Tighten the side rail lamp housing screws to 3 N.m (27 lb in).




7. Position the side rail lamp lens to the side rail lamp.




8. Install the side rail lamp lens to the side rail lamp, pressing into place until fully seated.
