Seat - Back Lock Diagnosis

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
1. Remove the seat (1) from the vehicle. Place the seat on a clean surface, with the seat facing right side up.
2. Raise the rear of the seat until the seat back center of gravity (6) passes through the vertical. The seat back will begin to fold.
The following actions should occur:
^ The emergency release lever unlocks the system.
^ The seat back folds.

3. If the seat back lock does not engage, replace the inertia lock. Refer to Inertia Latch Replacement.
