Headlamp Capsule Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the headlamp assembly from the vehicle.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the headlamp bulb.
3. Remove the two screws retaining the headlamp capsule to the headlamp mounting bracket.
4. Remove the headlamp capsule from the headlamp mounting bracket.

CAUTION: Refer to Halogen Bulb Caution in Service Precautions.

5. Remove the headlamp bulb retaining ring and remove the headlamp bulb from the capsule, if necessary.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Refer to Halogen Bulb Caution in Service Precautions.

1. Install the headlamp bulb and retaining ring to the capsule, if removed.
2. Align and install the headlamp capsule to the headlamp mounting bracket.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the headlamp capsule to headlamp mounting bracket retaining screws.

Tighten
Tighten the headlamp capsule to headlamp mounting bracket retaining screws to 3.5 N.m (31 lb in).

4. Install the headlamp assembly to the vehicle.
5. Check the headlamp aim and adjust as necessary.
