Rear Compartment Lid Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Disconnect the wire harness from the compartment lid applique.

Important: Do not detach the remote release cable from the compartment lid latch assembly.

2. Remove the compartment lid latch assembly.
3. Remove the compartment lid hinge bolts (1) from the rear compartment lid (3).
4. Remove the compartment lid (3).

Installation Procedure




1. Install the rear compartment lid (3).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the hinge bolts (1) to the rear compartment lid (3).

Tighten the bolt to 7 N.m (62 lb in).

3. Install the compartment lid latch assembly.
4. Connect the wire harness to the compartment lid applique.
5. Adjust the compartment lid as necessary. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Adjustment.
