Oil Pressure Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

Tools Required
J 35749 Oil Pressure Switch Socket

1. Turn off the ignition.
2. Remove the oil pressure sensor connector.
3. Remove the engine oil pressure sensor (1) using the J35749

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Coat the sensor threads with sealer.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the oil pressure sensor (1) with the J35749

Tighten
Tighten the sensor to 12 N.m (106 lb in).

3. Reconnect the oil pressure sensor connector.
