77. Direct and Forward Clutch Assemble

1. Grasp the input shaft and insert the direct and forward clutch assembly (610, 624) into the case.
2. The forward clutch splines must engage the input internal gear splines.





3. Place a large screwdriver or other straight edge on the case.
4. Measure the distance between the top of the direct clutch housing (610) and the case cover flange.
5. If the measurement is less than 42 mm (1-11/16 inch), the clutches are not fully seated in the case.
