B3132

Diagnostic Chart:

Schematic:

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION,
The remote keyless entry keyfob sends a radio signal to the body control module (BCM) to unlock all of the doors when the keyfob is pressed two times in succession. When the BCM receives the unlock all doors signal, the BCM applies battery voltage to the door unlock relay control circuit. Ground for the door unlock relay is supplied at all times.

CONDITIONS FOR RUNNING THE DTC
The remote keyless entry keyfob is pressed two times in succession to unlock all of the doors.

CONDITIONS FOR SETTING THE DTC
^ The BCM receives the unlock all doors signal from the keyfob.
^ The door unlock relay control circuit is shorted to ground for 250 milliseconds.

ACTION TAKEN WHEN DTC SETS
The BCM disables the door unlock relay control output for the remainder of the ignition cycle.

CONDITIONS FOR CLEARING THE DTC
^ A current DTC B3132 will clear when the malfunction is no longer present and the ignition switch is cycled.
^ All BCM history codes clear after 100 ignition cycles with no current codes active during the 100 ignition cycles.

DIAGNOSTIC AIDS
^ If the door unlock relay control circuit is open, the keyfob will be unable to unlock all doors, but the door mounted switch will operate properly.
^ Pressing the door unlock switch while the door unlock relay control circuit is shorted to ground is a direct short to battery and will blow the PWR ACC fuse.

TEST DESCRIPTION
The number(s) below refer to the step number(s) on the diagnostic table.
2. Listen for an audible click when the door unlock relay operates. Command both the ON and OFF states. Repeat the commands as necessary.
3. Verifies that the BCM is providing voltage to the door unlock relay.
4. Tests for an open in the ground circuit to the door unlock relay.
5. Tests if voltage is constantly being applied to the door unlock relay.
