All potential water leak locations are sealed in production using high quality durable sealers.

If you reseal specific areas of the body front end, use a high quality sealer with the following properties:

* Of medium thickness
* Remains flexible after curing
* Paintable

Lubrication

Lubricate the following components using Lubriplate, GM P/N 1052196 or the equivalent:

* The primary hood latch
* The secondary hood latch
* The hood hinges

Anti-Corrosion Protection

Anti-corrosion materials have been applied to the surfaces of the metal panels in order to provide rust resistance. When servicing these panels, properly re-coat the areas on this material that have been disturbed using a service-type anti-corrosion material. Refer to Paint and Coatings.
