Hood Hinge Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Support the hood.
2. Mark the position of the hood hinge to the hood and the fender.
Marking aids in the alignment of the hood upon hood installation.




3. Remove the upper hood hinge bolts (2).
4. Remove the upper hood hinge (7).




5. Remove the lower hood hinge bolts (1).
6. Remove the lower hood hinge (2).

Installation Procedure

1. Position the hood hinge to the previously marked position.




2. Install the lower hood hinge (2).
3. Install the lower hood hinge bolts (1).




4. Install the upper hood hinge bolts (2).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

5. Install the upper hood hinge bolts (7).

Tighten the hood hinge bolts to 21 N.m (15 lb ft).

6. Align the hood. Refer to Hood Adjustment.
