Carpet Retainer Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the quarter trim panel.
2. Remove the center pillar upper trim panel (sedan only).
3. Disengage the tab at the hood latch release handle (Driver's side only).




4. Remove the carpet retainer screws.
5. Remove the carpet retainer (1).

Installation Procedure




1. Install the floor carpet retainer (1).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the carpet retainer screws.

Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

3. Install the center pillar upper trim panel (sedan only).
4. Install the hood latch release handle. Ensure that the unit is retained.
5. Install the quarter trim panel.
