Windshield Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement (Convertible)

Removal Procedure




1. Lower the folding top.
2. Remove the sunshade.
3. Rotate the header latch handle down.
4. Remove the windshield garnish molding retaining screws.
5. Remove the windshield garnish molding.
6. Remove the windshield upper molding (3) ends retaining screws.
7. Carefully pull down the front edge of the windshield garnish upper molding (3).
8. Pull the windshield garnish upper molding rearward in order to disengage the upper windshield garnish molding from the retainer.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the windshield garnish upper molding ends (3) to the retainer.
Rotate the windshield garnish upper molding forward and up.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the windshield garnish upper molding (3) end retaining screws.

Tighten the screw to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

3. Install the windshield garnish molding (2).
4. Install the windshield garnish molding retaining screw.

Tighten the screw to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

5. Install the sunshade.
6. Raise the folding top.
