Front Seat Lumbar Support Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the front seatback pad and cover.




2. Remove the knob (4).
3. Remove the actuator screws (5).
4. Remove the actuator (6) using the following steps:

1. Recline the seatback to the full reclined position.
2. Disconnect the cable from the actuator.

5. Remove the lumbar retaining clips (9) from the seatback frame (1).
6. Remove the lumbar assembly (2).

Installation Procedure




1. Install the lumbar assembly (2) to the seatback frame (1).
Use new retaining clips when you secure the lumbar assembly (2) to the seatback frame (1).
2. Install the front seatback pad and the front seatback cover.
3. Route the cable through the seat cushion.
4. Install the actuator (6) by connecting the cable.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

5. Install the actuator screws (5).

Tighten the screws until the actuator screws are fully driven and fully seated. Do not strip the actuator screws.

6. Install the knob (4).
