Heater Hoses Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Drain the engine coolant. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System in Cooling System.
2. Remove the air inlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Intake Duct Replacement in Computers and Controls Systems.
3. Remove and set aside the ignition control module.
4. Disconnect the rear heater hoses from the heater pipes.
5. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.




6. Disconnect the rear heater hoses from the heater core.
7. Remove the rear heater hoses from the vehicle.
8. Disconnect the front heater hoses from the heater pipes.
9. Remove the front heater hoses from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the front heater hoses in the vehicle.
2. Connect the front heater hoses to the heater pipes. Ensure that the hose clamps are secured.
3. Install the rear heater hoses in the vehicle.
4. Connect the rear heater hoses to the heater core. Ensure the hose clamps are secured.
5. Lower the vehicle.




6. Connect the rear heater hoses to the heater pipes. Ensure the hose clamps are secured.
7. Reposition and install the ignition control module. Refer to Ignition Control Module Replacement in Computers and Controls Systems.
8. Install the air inlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Intake Duct Replacement in Computers and Controls Systems.
9. Fill the engine coolant. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System in Cooling Systems.
