Accelerator Controls Cable Bracket Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the accelerator cable and the cruise control cables, if the vehicle is so equipped.
2. Remove the air cleaner outlet resonator assembly.
3. Remove the accelerator cable bracket attaching bolts (1) and the accelerator cable bracket (2).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the accelerator cable bracket (2) with attaching bolts (1).

NOTE: Align the accelerator bracket with the accelerator cam in order to prevent cable wear which could cause the cable to break.

Tighten
Tighten bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the air cleaner outlet resonator assembly.
3. Install the accelerator cable and the cruise control cables, if the vehicle is so equipped.
