76. Direct and Forward Clutch Housings Assemble

1. Using a slight rotating motion, install the direct clutch assembly (610) onto the forward clutch assembly (624).
2. Be sure that all of the direct clutch plates engage the forward clutch housing hub.





3. Measure the distance from the bottom edge of the forward clutch housing (624) to the bottom edge of the direct clutch housing (640).
4. If the measurement is greater than 35.8 mm (1-13/32 inch), then the clutches are not fully seated.
