8. Output Shaft Disassemble

Tools Required
- J 34757 Snap Ring Remover and Installer





1. Rotate the differential carrier until you can see the end of the output shaft.
2. While holding the carrier, rotate the output shaft until the opening on the retainer ring is visible.
3. Use J 34757 in order to push the retainer ring partially off of the shaft.

IMPORTANT: Do not let the retainer ring fall into the transmission case.

4. Rotate the output shaft (29) again. Use needle nose pliers in order to remove the retainer ring (30).





5. Gently remove the output shaft (29) from the transmission.
