Window Channel Replacement - Door (Standard)

REMOVAL PROCEDURE (Front)




1. Remove the front door trim panel.
2. Remove the front door water deflector in order to access the window channel retainer.
3. Remove the front door window assembly.
4. Remove the bolts (1) from the upper window channel retainer.
5. Remove the upper window channel retainer (5).
6. Remove the bolt (1) from the lower window channel retainer.
7. Pull upward on the lower window channel retainer (3) in order to disengage the hook.
8. Remove the lower window channel retainer (3).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE (Front)




1. Push downward on the lower window channel retainer (3) in order to engage the hook.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the bolt (1) to the lower window channel retainer.

Tighten
Tighten the bolt (1) to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

3. Install the upper window channel retainer (5) by fully seating the outboard seal lip along the front door applique.
4. Seat the inboard seal carrier on the weld flange.
5. Install the bolts (1) to the upper window channel retainer.

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

6. Install the front door window assembly.
7. Install the water deflector.
8. Install the front door trim panel.

REMOVAL PROCEDURE (Rear)




1. Remove the rear door trim panel.
2. Remove the rear door water deflector in order to access the window channel retainer.
3. Remove the rear door window assembly.
4. Remove the bolts (1) from the upper window channel retainer.
5. Remove the upper window channel retainer (5).
6. Remove the bolt (1) from the lower window channel retainer.
7. Pull upward on the lower window channel retainer (3) in order to disengage the hook.
8. Remove the lower window channel retainer (3).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE (Rear)




1. Push downward on the lower window channel retainer (3) in order to engage the hook.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the bolt (1) to the lower window channel retainer.

Tighten
Tighten the bolt (1) to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

3. Install the upper window channel retainer (5) by fully seating the outboard seal lip along the rear door applique.
4. Seat the inboard seal carrier on the weld flange.
5. Install the bolts (1) to the upper window channel retainer.

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

6. Install the rear door window assembly.
7. Install the water deflector.
8. Install the rear door trim panel.
