Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (With Sunroof)
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the passenger front bucket seat.
2. Pull the door opening moldings down in order to clear the headliner.
3. Remove the windshield pillar trim.
4. Remove the center pillar trim.
5. Remove the rear quarter upper trim panel.
6. Remove the sunshades.
7. Remove the overhead console.
8. Disconnect the rearview mirror electrical connectors.
9. Remove the front assist handles.
10. Remove the rear assist handles.
11. Disconnect the headliner wiring harness connector.
12. Pull the headliner down in order to release the headliner from the roof panel. Work from the corners.
Notice: Use care when removing or installing the headliner. Excessive bending will damage the headliner.
13. Remove the headliner through the right rear passenger door opening.
Installation Procedure
1. Load the headliner into the vehicle through the front passenger door opening.
2. Locate the pad to the substrate.
3. Connect the headliner wiring harness connector.
4. Route and secure the wiring harness in the wiring harness retainers.
5. With a helper, raise the headliner into position.
6. Locate and align headliner to the driver side inner sunshade attachment and push with rocking motion to secure.
7. Locate the passenger side rear assist handle attachment point and secure.
8. Locate the passenger sunshade attachment point and secure.
9. Install the rear assist handles.
10. Install the front assist handles.
11. Connect the rear view mirror electrical connectors.
12. Install the overhead console.
13. Install the sunshades.
14. Install the rear quarter upper trim panel.
15. Install the center pillar garnish molding.
16. Install the windshield pillar garnish molding.
17. Install the door opening weatherstrips.
