Tire Pressure
TIRE PRESS (WITH SYSTEMS MONITOR)The IPC illuminates the TIRE PRESS indicator in the systems monitor when the following occurs:
^ The Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) detects low pressure in any of the four tires. The IPC receives a class 2 message from the EBCM requesting illumination. The IPC sends a class 2 message to the radio in order to activate an audible warning.
^ The IPC performs the displays test at the start of each ignition cycle. The indicator illuminates for approximately 5 seconds.
Once the tire pressures are properly adjusted, perform the tire pressure monitor reset procedure in order to clear the TIRE PRESS indicator. Refer to Tire Pressure Monitor Reset Procedure in Tire Pressure Monitoring.
CHECK TIRE PRESSURE -144 (WITH DIC)
The IPC illuminates the CHECK TIRE PRESSURE - 144 indicator in the DIC when the electronic brake control module (EBCM) detects low pressure in any of the four tires. The IPC receives a class 2 message from the electronic brake control module (EBCM) requesting illumination. The IPC sends a class 2 message to the radio in order to activate an audible warning. Once the tire pressures are properly adjusted, perform the tire pressure monitor reset procedure in order to clear the TIRE PRESS indicator.
