Door Ajar

DOOR AJAR (WITH SYSTEMS MONITOR)
Each door module monitors the associated door ajar switch signal circuit. The IPC receives class 2 messages from the Driver Door Module (DDM) indicating that the specific door ajar switch is active. The IPC sends a class 2 message to the radio in order to activate an audible warning. The IPC illuminates the DOOR AJAR indicator in the systems monitor when the following occurs:
^ The DDM detects that the driver's door is open or ajar (signal circuit is low).
^ The Passenger Door Module (PDM) detects that the passenger's door is open or ajar (signal circuit is low). The PDM sends a message to the DDM via the Simple Bus Interface (SBI) indicating that the door ajar switch is active.
^ The Right Rear Door Module (RRDM) detects that the right rear door is open or ajar (signal circuit is low). The RRDM sends a message to the DDM via the SBI indicating that the door ajar switch is active.
^ The Left Rear Door Module (LRDM) detects that the left rear door is open or ajar (signal circuit is low). The LRDM sends a message to the DDM via the SBI indicating that the door ajar switch is active.
^ The IPC performs the displays test at the start of each ignition cycle. The indicator illuminates for approximately 5 seconds.

XX DOOR AJAR -140-143 (WITH DIC)
Each door module monitors the associated door ajar switch signal circuit. The IPC receives a class 2 message from the driver door module (DDM) indicating that the specific door ajar switch is active. The IPC illuminates the XX DOOR AJAR indicator and illuminates the appropriate door symbol in the vehicle outline in the DIC. The IPC sends a class 2 message to the radio in order to activate an audible warning.
^ The DRIVER DOOR AJAR 140 indicator illuminates when the DDM detects that the driver's door is open or ajar (signal circuit is low).
^ The FRONT PASSENGER DOOR AJAR - 141 indicator illuminates when the passenger door module (PDM) detects that the passengers door is open or ajar (signal circuit is low). The PDM sends a message to the DDM via the simple bus interface (SBI) indicating that the door ajar switch is active.
^ The LEFT REAR DOOR AJAR - 142 indicator illuminates when the left rear door module (LRDM) detects that the left rear door is open or ajar (signal circuit is low). The LRDM sends a message to the DDM via the SBI indicating that the door ajar switch is active.
^ The RIGHT REAR DOOR AJAR - 143 indicator illuminates when the right rear door module (RRDM) detects that the right rear door is open or ajar (signal circuit is low). The RRDM sends a message to the DDM via the SBI indicating that the door ajar switch is active.
