Electrical System

SERVICE VEHICLE SOON (WITH VOLT GAUGE)
The IPC illuminates the SERVICE VEHICLE SOON indicator when the following occurs:
^ The PCM detects certain non-emissions related failures. The IPC receives a class 2 message from the PCM requesting illumination. The IPC sends a class 2 message to the radio in order to activate an audible warning.
^ The IPC performs the displays test at the start of each ignition cycle. The indicator illuminates for approximately 5 seconds.
^ The IPC detects a loss of class 2 communications with the PCM. The IPC sends a class 2 message to the radio in order to activate an audible warning.
^ The IPC detects no class 2 communications with the vehicle. The IPC sends a class 2 message to the radio in order to activate an audible warning.

SERVICE VEHICLE SOON -3 (WITH DIC AND BOOST GAUGE)
The IPC illuminates the SERVICE VEHICLE SOON - 3 indicator in the DIC when the following occurs:
^ The PCM detects certain non-emissions related failures. The IPC receives a class 2 message from the PCM requesting illumination. The IPC sends a class 2 message to the radio in order to activate an audible warning.
^ The IPC detects a loss of class 2 communications with the PCM. The IPC sends a class 2 message to the radio in order to activate an audible warning.
^ The IPC detects no class 2 communications with the vehicle. The IPC sends a class 2 message to the radio in order to activate an audible warning.
