Trunk Ajar
TRUNK AJAR (WITH SYSTEMS MONITOR)The IPC illuminates the TRUNK AJAR indicator in the systems monitor when the following occurs:
^ The Rear Integration Module (RIM) detects that the trunk is open or ajar (signal circuit is low). The IPC receives a class 2 message from the RIM indicating that the trunk ajar switch is active. The IPC sends a class 2 message to the radio in order to activate an audible warning.
^ The IPC performs the displays test at the start of each ignition cycle. The indicator illuminates for approximately 5 seconds.
TRUNK AJAR -24 (WITH DIC)
The IPC illuminates the TRUNK AJAR - 24 indicator and illuminates the trunk symbol in the vehicle outline in the DIC when the rear integration module (RIM) detects that the trunk is open or ajar (signal circuit is low). The IPC receives a class 2 message from the RIM indicating that the trunk ajar switch is active. The IPC sends a class 2 message to the radio in order to activate an audible warning.
