Linear Shift - Disassemble

1. Remove the upper and lower trim covers.
Steering Column Trim Covers - Disassemble

2. Remove the following:
2.1. Shift lever screw (3)
2.2. Shift lever assembly (4)
2.3. Shift lever seal (2)





3. Remove the automatic transmission shift lock control in the following way:
3.1. Put the shift lever clevis into the NEUTRAL position.
3.2. Use a small screwdriver to pry the automatic transmission shift lock control away from the steering column jacket assembly and the cable shift cam assembly.





4. Remove and discard 3 flat head 6 lobed soc tap screws from the linear shift assembly.
5. Remove the linear shift assembly.
