Front Seat Back Replacement (RPO AR9)

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the front bucket seat.
2. Remove the screws from the hinge arm trim cover, and remove trim cover from the recliner mechanism (2).
3. Remove the bolts (4,5) attaching the recliner mechanism (2) to the seat cushion frame (3).
4. Remove the bolt (7) attaching the seat back frame (6) to the seat back cushion frame (3).

Installation Procedure




1. Install the seat back (1) to the seat cushion frame (3).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the bolt (7) that attaches the seat back frame (6) to the seat cushion frame (3).

Tighten the bolt to 24 N.m (18 lb in).

3. Install the recliner mechanism bolts (4, 5).

Tighten the bolts to 24 N.m (18 lb ft).

4. Install the hinge arm trim cover to the recliner mechanism (2), and install the screws to the trim cover.

Tighten the screws to 1.7 N.m (15 lb in).

5. Install the front bucket seat.
