Valve Rocker Arm and Push Rod Installation

^ Tools Required
- J 36660-A Torque Angle Meter





1. Install the push rods.
2. Install the push rod guide plates.
3. Coat the valve stem tip with prelube GM P/N 1052367 or equivalent.
4. Install the valve rocker arms.

Notice: Refer to Special Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

5. Apply GM P/N 12345493 threadlocker or equivalent to the valve rocker arm bolt threads.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

6. Install the valve rocker arm bolts.
Tighten the valve rocker arm bolts to 15 Nm (11 ft. lbs.) + 90 degrees using J 36660-A.
