87. Upper Intake Manifold Installation

Intake Manifold Installation - Upper





1. Install the upper intake manifold gasket.
2. Install the upper intake manifold.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.





3. Install the upper intake manifold bolts.
^ Tighten the vertical bolts in sequence to 15 Nm (11 ft. lbs.).
^ Tighten the side bolts in sequence to 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.).
4. Install the fuel injector rail.





5. Install the fuel injector rail nuts.
Tighten the fuel injector rail nuts to 9 Nm (80 inch lbs.).





6. Install the throttle body gasket.
7. Install the throttle body.
8. Install the throttle body nuts and bolt.
Tighten the throttle body nuts and bolt to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).





9. Install the EGR outlet pipe to the intake manifold.
Tighten the EGR outlet pipe bolt and nut to 29 Nm (21 ft. lbs.).
10. Install the manifold vacuum source.
11. Install the rear generator mounting bracket and bolts.
Tighten the bolts to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).
12. Install the spark plug wires.
