Backup Lamp: Description and Operation

The Turn B/U fuse in the P fuse block supplies battery positive voltage to both the switch terminal of the backup lamp switch in manual transmission and the reverse position of the Park/Neutral Position (PNP) switch in automatic transmission. Both the backup lamp switch in manual transmission and the PNP switch in automatic transmission when they are closed supply battery positive voltage to the backup lamp assemblies. The backup lamps are grounded at G 400.
