s. Mainshaft Assemble

- Tools Required
- J 25234 Front and Rear Bearing Installer
- J 37372 Synchronizer and Gear Installer





1. Install 1st speed gear synchronizer blocking ring
2. Install 1st speed gear synchronizer inner cone
3. Install 1st speed gear synchronizer outer cone





4. Install bearing sleeve pin
5. Install bearing sleeve
6. Install 1st speed gear needle bearing assembly





7. Install the 1st speed gear.





8. Install the mainshaft rear bearing assembly.





9. Install 5th speed driven gear using the J 25234 and a hydraulic press.





10. Install the reverse sliding gear.





11. Install the 1st/2nd speed synchronizer spring and the inserts into the reverse sliding gear.
12. Line up scribed marks on the synchronizer hub and on the sleeve.





13. Install 1st/2nd speed gear synchronizer blocking ring
14. Install 1st/2nd speed gear synchronizer outer cone
15. Install 1st/2nd speed gear synchronizer inner cone
16. Install 1st speed gear thrust washer





17. Install the synchronizer spiral retaining ring.





18. Install the 2nd speed gear needle bearing assembly and the spacer.





19. Install the thrust washer and the 2nd speed gear.





20. Install the 2nd speed gear retainer ring.





21. Install the 3rd speed gear needle bearing assembly and the spacer.





22. Install 3rd speed gear (using the J 37372 and a hydraulic press.)
23. Install 3rd speed gear blocker ring
24. Install 3rd/4th speed gear synchronizer
25. Install 4th speed gear blocking ring
