Rear Folding Seat Back Cover Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the rear seat bottom cushions.
2. Remove the rear seat back from the vehicle.
3. Remove the shoulder restraint guide bolts/screws, and remove the guide from the seat back.
4. Remove the rear seat back latch bolts (6), and remove the latch (5) from the seat back.
5. Remove the rear seat back hinge bolts (7), and remove the hinges (8) from the seat back.
6. Unfasten the J-hook retainers at the bottom of the rear seat back.
7. Reach inside rear seat back cover (1), to unfasten the hook and loop retainers, which secure the cover (1) to the pad (2).
8. Remove the rear seat back cover (1) from the pad (2).

Installation Procedure




1. Install the rear seat back cover (1) to the pad (2).
2. Align the hook and loop retainers.
3. With firm hand pressure, fasten the hook and loop retainers, securing the rear seat back cover (1) to the pad (2).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

4. Install the rear seat back hinge (8) to the seat back, and install the hinge bolts (7).

Tighten the bolts to 24 N.m (18 lb ft).

5. Install the rear seat back latch (5) to the seat back, and install the latch bolts (6).

Tighten the bolts to 27 N.m (20 lb ft).

6. Install the shoulder restraint guide to the seat back, and install the guide bolts/screws.

Tighten the bolts or screws to 1.7 N.m (15 lb in).

7. Install the rear seat back into the vehicle.
8. Remove the protective shield.
9. Install the seat bottom cushions.
