Radiator Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Recover the air conditioning system.
2. Drain the cooling system.
3. Remove the radiator inlet hose.
4. Remove the radiator outlet hose.
5. Remove the evaporator tube bolt.
6. Remove the evaporator tube from the condenser.





7. Remove the upper oil cooler line from the radiator.
8. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
9. Remove the lower oil cooler line from the radiator.





10. Remove the air conditioning condenser tube nut.
11. Remove the condenser tube from the condenser.
12. Lower the vehicle.





13. Remove the reservoir hose from the radiator.
14. Remove the fan shroud.





15. Remove the radiator (with condenser) from the vehicle.





16. Remove the condenser from the radiator.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the condenser to the radiator.





2. Install the radiator (with condenser) to the vehicle.
3. Install the fan shroud.





4. Install the reservoir hose to the radiator.
5. Raise and suitably support the vehicle.





6. Install the condenser tube to the condenser.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

7. Install the A/C condenser tube nut.
Tighten the A/C condenser tube nut to 16 Nm (12 ft. lbs.).





8. Install the lower oil cooler line to the radiator.
Tighten the lower oil cooler line to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.).
9. Lower the vehicle.
10. Install the upper oil cooler line to the radiator.
Tighten the upper oil cooler line to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.).





11. Install the evaporator tube to the condenser.
12. Install the evaporator tube bolt.
Tighten the evaporator tube bolt to 16 Nm (12 ft. lbs.).
13. Install the radiator outlet hose.
14. Install the radiator inlet hose.
15. Fill cooling system.
16. Recharge the air conditioning system.
