Dimming Input: The scan tool displays 0-25.5 Volts. The state of the dimming input detected by the IPC from the headlamp dimmer switch.
Engine Oil Level: The scan tool displays OK/Low. The PCM monitors the signal circuit of the engine oil level switch, where an open switch is displayed as Low (low engine oil level).
Fuel Level: The scan tool displays 0-100%. The PCM calculates the amount of fuel remaining in the tank based on the input from the fuel level sensor. The IPC receives a class 2 message from the PCM indicating the fuel level percent.
Hatch Ajar Switch: The scan tool displays Open/Closed. The state of the hatch ajar lamp detected by the IPC from the rear compartment lid ajar indicator switch (low input).
Headlamps: The scan tool displays On/Off. The state of the high beam lamp detected by the IPC from the headlamp dimmer switch (low input) when the headlamps are on.
Ignition 1: The scan tool displays 0-25.5 volts. The voltage measured from the IPC ignition 1 positive voltage circuit to the PC's ground circuit.
Low Coolant Level: The scan tool displays On/Off. There is no indicator on the IPC for low coolant level. This parameter is not useful.
Low Oil Level: The scan tool displays On/Off. The state of the low oil level lamp detected by the IPC. The IPC receives a class 2 message from the PCM.
Low Trac: ABS Active: The scan tool displays On/Off. If the scan tool displays On, this input is the reason why this indicator is coming on.
Low Trac: TCS Off: The scan tool displays On/Off. If the scan tool displays On, this input is the reason why this indicator is coming on.
Low Traction Lamp: The scan tool displays On/Off. The state of the low traction lamp detected by the IPC. The IPC receives a class 2 message from the EBCM.
Odometer: The scan tool displays 0-999999.9 miles. The state of the vehicle speed detected by the IPC from the PCM (variable voltage). The IPC calculates the mileage to determine the odometer value.
Red Brake Lamp: The scan tool displays On/Off. The state of the brake lamp detected by the IPC. The IPC receives a class 2 message from the EBCM, the park brake is set, a low brake fluid condition, the EBCM senses base brake failure, or there is a loss of class 2 communication.
Reduced Performance Lamp: The scan tool displays On/Off. The state of the reduced engine power lamp detected by the IPC. The IPC receives a class 2 message from the PCM or a loss of class 2 communication.
Restraints ID: This scan tool displays the four digit number of the SDM incorporated into the IPC.
RPM: The scan tool displays 0-8160 PPM. The state of the engine speed detected by the IPC. The IPC receives a class 2 message from the PCM.
Service Veh. Soon Lamp: The scan tool displays On/Off. The state of the service veh. soon lamp detected by the IPC. The IPC receives a class 2 message from the PCM, or there is an internal fault in the IPC caused by the air bag indicator, or there is a loss of class 2 communications.
Skip Shift Lamp: The scan tool displays On/Off. The state of the skip shift lamp detected by the IPC. The IPC receives a class 2 message from the PCM.
