Turn Signals: Description and Operation

Ignition positive voltage from the Turn B/U fuse in the P fuse block, is supplied to the [1][2]turn signal lamp flasher. Battery positive voltage from the turn signal lamp flasher supplies the turn/hazard switch assembly. The turn signal lamps may only be activated with the ignition switch in the RUN position. When the turn/hazard switch is placed in either the left or right position, current flow is from the turn signal switch to the respective turn signal bulbs. The turn/hazard switch assembly then sends an on-off voltage signal to either the left or right turn signals and their Instrument Cluster (IPC) indicator. The turn signal lamp flasher is grounded at G 200. The front turn signals are grounded at G 105 and G 106 and the rear turn signals are grounded at G 400.
