Air Cleaner Outlet Resonator Replacement

AIR CLEANER OUTLET RESONATOR REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Loosen the clamp on the air cleaner outlet duct




2. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct from the air cleaner outlet resonator.




3. Remove the mounting screw from the air cleaner outlet resonator.




4. Disconnect the clamp from the air cleaner outlet resonator at the throttle body.




5. Raise the air cleaner outlet resonator from the throttle body.
6. Disconnect the crankcase vent hose from the air cleaner outlet resonator.
7. Remove the air cleaner outlet resonator.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the crankcase vent hose to the air cleaner outlet resonator.

IMPORTANT: Be sure the air cleaner outlet resonator seals to the throttle body.

2. Install the air cleaner outlet resonator to the throttle body.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the mounting screws to the air cleaner outlet resonator.

Tighten
Tighten the mounting screws to 10 N.m (89 lb in).




4. Tighten the clamp on the air cleaner outlet resonator at the throttle body.

Tighten
Tighten the clamp to 5 N.m (44 lb in).




5. Install the air cleaner outlet duct to the air cleaner outlet resonator.




6. Tighten the clamp on the air cleaner outlet duct.

Tighten
Tighten the clamp to 5 N.m (44 lb in).
