Rear Split Folding Seat Back Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the split/folding rear seat back.
2. Remove the seat back pivot bolt and bushing.




3. Unfasten the hook and the loop retainer at the bottom of the seat back cover.




4. Remove the staples from the bottom of the seat back cover.




5. Reach inside of the seat back cover and unfasten the hook and the loop retainers.
6. Remove the rear seat back cover, by pulling the cover up and over the pad.

Installation Procedure




1. Align the marks on the seat back to the marks on the pad.
2. Pull the seat back cover over the pad and align the hook and the loop retainers.
3. Use firm hand pressure in order to fasten the hook and the loop retainers.




4. Install new staples to the seat back cover.




5. Align the hook and the loop retainers at the bottom of the seat back cover.
6. Use firm hand pressure in order to fasten the retainers.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.




7. Install the seat back pivot bolt and bushing.

Tighten the pivot bolt to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

8. Install the split/folding rear seat back.
