Rear Folding Seat Back Latch Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Open the rear compartment lid.
2. With a small flat-bladed tool, disengage the retaining tabs for the latch pull handles on the seat back.
3. Remove the rear window trim panel.




4. Remove the latch pull handles from the rear shelf panel.




5. Disconnect the cable conduit from the seat back latch.
6. Disconnect the cable end from the seat back latch by lifting the cable up and out from the striker.
7. Remove the seat back latch from the rear shelf.

Installation Procedure




1. Route the latch pull handles for the seat back through the rear package shelf




2. Press the latch pull handles until fully seated in the rear package shelf.




3. Rotate the cable end down into the seat back latch.
4. Press the cable conduit until fully seated in the seat back latch.
5. Install the trim panel.
6. Close the rear compartment lid.
