Oil Pump: Service and Repair

Removal Procedure
1. Remove the oil pan.





2. Remove the oil pump bolt and pump.
3. Remove the drive shaft extension.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the drive shaft extension to pump.
2. Install the oil pump.
3. Engage the drive shaft extension into the drive gear.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

4. Install the pump to the rear bearing cap bolt.
Tighten the oil pump bolt to 41 Nm (30 ft. lbs.).
5. Install the oil pan.
6. Fill the crankcase with oil.
