Dimmer Switch: Service and Repair

IP DIMMER SWITCH REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the fog lamp/dimmer switch trim plate from the instrument panel using a small flat-bladed tool.




3. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the fog lamp/dimmer switches.




4. Remove the fog lamp/dimmer switch bulb using a small flat-bladed tool turning counterclockwise, if required.




5. Release the retainer tabs on the dinner switch using a small flat-bladed tool on the back side.
6. Remove the dimmer switch from the trim plate.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the dimmer switch to the trim plate pressing into place until fully seated.




2. Install the fog lamp/dimmer switch bulb using a small flat-bladed tool turning clockwise, if required.




3. Connect the electrical connectors to the fog lamp/dimmer switches.




4. Install the fog lamp/dimmer switch trim plate to the instrument panel pressing into place until fully seated.
5. Connect the negative battery cable.
