Air Temperature Door Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the left and right insulators. Refer to Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Right and to Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Left in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators.
2. Remove the knee bolster.
3. Remove the floor console, if equipped.
4. Remove the heater outlet cover retaining screws.

IMPORTANT: Position the heater outlet cover downward and rearward in order to disconnect the cover from the rear floor area duct assembly.

5. Remove the heater outlet cover.




6. Remove the vent door (1) from the HVAC control module.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

IMPORTANT: Align the vent door into the HVAC control module case.




1. Install the vent door (1) into the HVAC control module.




2. Install the heater outlet cover.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the heater outlet cover retaining screws.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 1.5 N.m (13 lb in).

4. Install the floor console, if equipped.
5. Install the knee bolster.
6. Install the left and right insulators. Refer to Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Right and to Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Left in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators.
