Electronic Column Lock Module - Disassemble

Electronic Column Lock Module- Disassemble - Off Vehicle





1. Remove the steering column tilt head housing.
2. Remove the steering column lock cylinder set.
3. Slide the PASSKEY(R) III (2) off of the electronic lock module assembly (1).





4. Remove the connector (2) from the electric park lock (3).
5. Remove the TORX(R) head screw (1) from the electric park lock (3).





6. Remove the electric park lock (2) from the electronic lock module assembly (1).





7. Remove the key alarm connector (1) from the electronic lock module assembly (2).
7.1. Rotate the key alarm connector (1) 90 degrees.
7.2. Pull the key alarm connector (1) out of the electronic lock module assembly (2).





8. Remove the 2 tapping screws (2) from the ignition and key alarm switch assembly (1).
9. Let the ignition and key alarm switch assembly (1) hang freely.

Important: The lock bolt assembly (4) is under slight spring tension from the lock bolt spring (3). Hold the lock bolt (4) in place while removing the electronic lock module assembly (2).





10. Remove the 3 pan head tapping screws (1) from the electronic lock module assembly (2).
11. Remove the electronic lock module assembly (2) from the steering column tilt head assembly (5).
12. Remove the lock bolt assembly (4) from the steering column tilt head assembly (5).
13. Remove the lock bolt spring (3) from the lock bolt assembly (4).
