Seats: Adjustments



Front Seat Adjustment





Important: Do not overtorque the adjuster-to-floorpan bolts. Overtorqued nuts may cause a hard seat travel condition. Refer to Fastener Tightening Specifications ([1][2]Seats) .



The bolts that attach the seat adjusters to the floor pan allow a small amount of adjustment in the following directions:

* Fore and aft
* Side to side


The adjustment can be used for the following purposes:

* Alignment of the seat
* Alignment of the seat adjusters with each other


The adjustment can be used to help correct the following conditions:

* Hard or slow operation that is caused by misalignment of the adjusters
* Inability of the manually operated seat adjuster to lock
