Radiator Replacement

Radiator Replacement

^ Tools Required
- J38185 Hose Clamp Pliers

Removal Procedure
1. Drain the cooling system.
2. Remove the engine cooling fans.





3. Remove the upper radiator brackets and bolts.
4. Use the J38185 in order to reposition the hose clamp from the radiator inlet hose.





5. Remove the radiator inlet hose from the radiator.
6. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
7. Remove the lower air deflector.
8. Use the J38185 in order to reposition the hose clamp from the radiator outlet hose.
9. Remove the radiator outlet hose from the radiator.
10. Remove the transaxle oil cooler lines from the radiator.
11. Lower the vehicle.
12. Remove the low coolant module.
13. Remove the radiator.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the radiator to the lower mounts.
2. Install the low coolant module.
3. Raise the vehicle.
4. Install the transaxle oil cooler lines to the radiator.
5. Install the radiator outlet hose to the radiator.
6. Use the J38185 in order to reposition the hose clamp to the radiator outlet hose. Install the lower air deflector.
8. Lower the vehicle.
9. Install the radiator inlet hose to the radiator.
10. Use the J38185 in order to reposition the hose clamp to the radiator inlet hose.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.





11. Install the upper radiator brackets and the upper radiator bracket bolts.
^ Tighten the upper radiator bracket bolts to 24 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
12. Install the engine cooling fans.
13. Fill the cooling system.
14. Inspect for leaks.
