63. Balancer Shaft Bearing Installation

Balance Shaft Bearing and/or Bushing
Installation

^ Tools Required
- J21465-13 Drive Handle Extension
- J36995 Balance Shaft Bearing Remover/Installer

1. Dip the balance shaft bushing in clean engine oil.

Important: The J36995 installs the balance shaft bushing to the correct depth. The balance shaft bushing is properly installed when J36995 fully contacts the balance shaft bore or the engine block/transaxle mounting flange.





2. Use the balance shaft bushing installers to install the balance shaft bushing.
3. Remove J36995.
4. Dip the balance shaft bearing into clean engine oil.





5. Use J21465-13and J36995to install the balance shaft bearing into the engine block.
