Rear Compartment Lid Latch Release Cable Handle Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the release handle cover bolt (2), right or left side.
2. Remove the release handle cover (1) right or left side.




3. Remove the remote release handle screws.
4. Remove the remote release cable from the remote release handle (3).
5. Remove the remote release handle.

Installation Procedure




1. Position the remote release handle (3) in the vehicle.
2. Install the remote release cable in the remote release handle (3).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the remote release handle screws.

Tighten the release handle screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

4. Install the release handle cover.




5. Install the release handle cover bolt (2).

Tighten the release handle cover bolt to 1 N.m (12 lb in).
