Instrument Panel Compartment Door Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the screws from the instrument panel (IP) compartment door hinge.
2. Release the IP compartment door pull strap by pressing down and pulling out from the IP.
3. Remove the IP compartment door from the IP.




4. Remove the screws from the inner IP compartment door.




5. Separate the inner and outer doors from the door frame.
6. Remove the IP compartment door latch.
7. Remove the IP compartment door lock cylinder.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the IP compartment door lock cylinder.
2. Install the IP compartment door latch.




3. Position the outer door to the door frame alignment tabs.




4. Position the inner doors to the door frame alignment tabs.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

5. Install the screws to the IP compartment door.

Tighten the screws to 3 N.m (27 lb in).

6. Position the IP compartment door hinge to the IP.
7. Install the screws to the IP compartment door hinge.

Tighten the screws to 3 N.m (27 lb in).




8. Install the IP compartment door pull strap by positing the pull strap to the slot in the IP and closing the compartment door.
