Valve Rocker Arm and Push Rod Installation

Important: When you install new rocker farms, lubricate the pivot bearing valve tips, and push rod sockets of the rocker arms with engine assembly prelube GM P/N 1052367.





1. Install the pushrods.
Ensure that the pushrods seat in the lifters.
2. Install the rocker arms.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Important: Do not over tighten the rocker arm bolts.





3. Ensure that the locating tab on the rocker pivot is properly aligned with the notch in the cylinder head.
Tighten the rocker arm bolts to 25 Nm (19 ft. lbs.).
